By Request! 07/22/2008
Hello everyone! I have had several requests of which I will address in this blog post...one request was to see Pedro in his hat! I mentioned several weeks ago that I finally figured out how to get the poor boy in a sombrero...well - here he is! Folks have also been asking when I might get around to making another video. So...here it is! I have been having great fun with a super cheap digital camera I found for $8 bucks! Hilarious! It doubles as a web cam...as you can see. I think I might use it for my character animations if I ever get around to it. It is only about 1.5"x2" big, so it is very easy for me to carry around in my pocket and be wierd with...and I tend to lean toward spontaneous wierdness! You will have to jump over to the photography page and check out the photo slide show with some of my favourite photos that I have taken! I have had great fun capturing the things that I always see and try and take mental pictures of...now I can just be mental and take pictures! ![]() You might notice that in the background there is not a fire truck to be seen...that is because they had to go! Once I finish the painting in the studio, I will post it in the gallery for all to see. I had a great day, enjoyed talking to the people that stopped to chat, and managed not to pass out from the heat. Although the back of my legs are a bit pink! I'm happy to say that I only suffered one minor industrial hazmat accident when the wind blew my turp and liquin all down the front of my shorts. If that wasn't bad enough, when I went to wipe it off, I managed to smear oil paint all down the front leg in a lovely colour of orange. Oh well! One more pair of painting pants can't hurt! Thanks for making me laugh in the midst of a boring day! Melissa Tue, 22 Jul 2008 12:38:57 omg. JP Tue, 22 Jul 2008 18:44:06 I am sitting here trying to figure out if this emotion I am feeling is pride to be related to you, embarrassment, or fear that dementia runs in the family!!!! Janet Wed, 23 Jul 2008 14:09:53 Yeah, well.....you definitely have too much time on your hands, Cagney. I was kinda creeped-out! Hahaha! studio 12A Thu, 24 Jul 2008 08:02:18 Loved the effects. Did you edit this or was the camera doing all of this? You made me smile AGAIN! Just got back from Chicago. Fifteen art teachers plus some family took the Amtrak from Crawfordsville to Chicago on Tuesday. It was cheap $34 round trip. We did stay over at the Palmer House. They upgraded our group to the 22nd floor, executive suites. We had plenty of time to visit galleries, view Benin Exhibit at the Institute of Art and some took a ninty minute architectural tour via boat in the canal. We returned late Wed. evening. It is 72 miles to Crawfordville from Greenfield. I could have caught the train in Indy but figured I would have to pay for parking, but at the Crawfordsville depot you just park and go. It is right across from the police station. Maybe we can think about taking the train to Chicago as artists. It is a 3 1/2 hour trip. See you soon. Leave a Reply |
